Who we are

I have worked as a guide for more than ten years now – and I love it.  I love meeting and getting to know new people.  I love watching these new people and helping them to see and to understand my countryside, my home.  The more people who see and understand it, the better the world we be.  Each time I revisit all those wide, open spaces out there, I am reminded of my childhood and of my youth.  I grew up in a cow-herding family.  Seeing new eyes appreciate what I had helps me to appreciate it anew each time.  I think I learn from each group I travel with – and that makes me feel good.

I have guided and organized tours ranging from simple tours with a few travelers to professional tours that require particular skills.  I have arranged and guided paragliding tours, fishing tours, motorcycle tours, horseback-riding tours, bird-watching tours, trekking and camel-riding tours. I have crossed Mongolia from one side to the other on horseback and in SUVs.   I have worked on filming for Harrods Magazine, on Alone by ITV America and the History Channel, on The Grand Tour - Mongolia by W Chump and Sons (produced for Amazon) and on the Gobi Bear project by Apple.

I am ready to guide and organize trips for a single traveler, through to big groups or major filming arrangements.  I don’t have all the skills myself, but I know people and companies who can do what I cannot.

I have a family, to which I am devoted.  My husband drives. He also likes to travel and drive in the countryside.  My eldest daughter is at University in Japan.  My second daughter dances professionally and has just completed a tour of Mongolian traditional dancing in Turkey.  My two sons are at school.

I have told you where I was born and raised.  I have a major in Psychology (which doesn’t mean that I know how people work – or how I work myself – but it does mean that this sort of thing interests me). I campaign against violence against children and against violence in general. I like to see challenges as things which help me develop, rather than as problems.  I am quite good at knowing when to step forward and when to let people act alone. I love horses.  I love people.  And I love my Countryside
